Honoring your postpartum journey with nourishment, tradition, and thoughtful care.
The postpartum period, often called the fourth trimester—is a time of deep transformation. Many families choose placenta encapsulation as a way to support their healing, energy, and emotional balance during this sacred window. At Haley’s Holistic Birth, I provide safe, respectful, and detail oriented placenta services designed to honor your birth and nourish your postpartum body.
I hold a Bloodborne Pathogen Certification for placenta encapsulation and follow strict sanitation protocols to ensure your safety and peace of mind.
What’s included?
Your placenta encapsulation service includes everything you need to receive the full benefits of this ancient postpartum practice:
Encapsulated Placenta (100–200 vegan capsules)
Depending on the size of your placenta, you can expect approximately 4–6 weeks worth of capsules to support your postpartum healing.
Placenta Tincture
A powerful, long-lasting tincture created from your placenta that can be used far beyond the postpartum period. This tincture does not expire and may support emotional balance and energy for years to come.
Umbilical Cord Keepsake
A beautifully dried cord keepsake, created when the umbilical cord is provided and long enough to form. This meaningful piece symbolizes your baby’s first connection to you.
Placenta Art Print
A natural “tree of life” print created using your placenta’s imprint. Each print is unique and serves as a beautiful reminder of your journey.
Complimentary Pick-Up & Drop-Off (within the Syracuse area)
Your placenta is handled with care from start to finish. I offer free pick up and drop off at your preferred location for convenience and peace of mind.
Add-On: Enhanced Placenta Art Prints — $25 per print
These enhanced placenta prints are truly one-of-a-kind art pieces, thoughtfully created with watercolor detailing and fine line work. They can be customized with:
Baby’s name
Birth stats
Sentimental phrases or elements
Your chosen colors (using food-grade dye)
You may choose either a traditional cord-blood print or a vibrant dyed print—neither option affects encapsulation quality or safety.
Why Choose Placenta Encapsulation?
Placenta encapsulation is a meaningful option for anyone wanting additional nourishment and emotional support during postpartum. While experiences vary, many people report benefits such as:
Increased energy and vitality
Support for milk production
Emotional balance and reduced PMAD symptoms
Improved iron and vitamin levels
Support for physical recovery and healing
Every body and every postpartum journey is unique, and the placenta can offer gentle support during this deeply transitional time.
A Note on Research
While placenta encapsulation has been practiced across cultures for generations, modern clinical studies are limited. Many birthing people, however, share overwhelmingly positive experiences.
I always encourage families to do their own research, ask questions, and listen to their intuition when deciding if encapsulation feels right for them.
